Day 5 - Buckingham Palace

Our last full day in and around London.  Today we walked about looking at places that have no admission fees.  We started by taking the tube to Green Park and walking down to Buckingham Palace.  We arrived just in time to catch the conclusion to the Changing of the Guard ceremony, along with several thousand other London tourists!

Navigating throughout the masses we made our way into St. James park and wandered through the dappled shade along the park to Westminster square.  Again, more tourists.  Our tolerance of the crowds is dropping & I think quietly we're all glad this is the last day in the city.

Walking along Victoria St. we located a small pub on a side street across from New Scotland Yard.  Guessing if its good enough for the 'rozzers' it's good enough for us.  A nice lunch.

After lunch we navigated the tube and trains to get us across the Thames to Battersea Park.  Another One Direction pilgrimage for Kyra.  We walked about the park for an hour or so and then returned by train across the city to Broxbourne.  The evening was ended with a drink and light snack at The Bull pub around the corner.  Tomorrow we head back to Heathrow where we pick up our rental car and head off into the English countryside.
