On July 1st our PS3 got 'bricked' by the Sony PS3 2.40 system update. Within hours of users reporting the problem, Sony had pulled the patch to prevent any further problems. Unfortunately our PS3 was one of the affected systems.
After returning from holidays, I called Sony and described the problem, they sent me a box so that I could return the unit and receive a repaired unit. today the replacement unit arrived. All that awaits now si for me to go home and set it up for Brandon to try out. I'm sure he'll be VERY happy to get it back!
